The International Millet and Grain Forum

What is the international millet and grain forum?
1. A place for people involved in the millet and grain based food and revival of traditional food culture to connect with each other.
2. A forum for cultural exchange and the sharing of ideas and knowledge with other international groups that are involved in similar activities.
3. A centre for sharing and developing a vision of future diets.

Seven goals of The International Millet and Grain Forum
1. Setting up sustainable agriculture that is not dependant on chemical pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
2. Promotion of the production of additive-free foods that are processed without over processing.
3. Promotion of diets that are based on local culture and climate
4. Providing materials and discussion forums towards diets that nutritionally meet the requirements of the body.
5. Creation of guidelines for ecosystem-friendly diet development.
6. Promotion of the benefits of traditional diets, with an emphasis on staple foods.
7. Supporting national self-sufficient production of staple foods.
